What's the Job?

The Support Coordinator, Disability is responsible for ensuring that recipients/participants identify and are supported to achieve their goals and aspirations as identified in their NDIS/DHHS individual plan.

 

What we need from you:

  • Demonstrated commitment to working with people in an encouraging and supportive manner according to the principles of Person Centred Approaches
  • Accountability to systems, processes and policy and procedure
  • Demonstrated understanding of NDIS
  • Ability to advocate for people with a disability
  • Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively as a member of a professional team
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport
  • Well-developed time management skills and the ability to prioritise
  • Ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse group
  • Accountability and commitment to timely reporting and recording
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must hold a current Victorian driver’s licence
  • Working with Children check (employee)


What would be great to have?

  • Excellent knowledge of NDIS direction, service requirements and price guidelines
  • Capacity to negotiate for supports and /or services that are identified in the planning process
  • Training and/or experience in Person Centred Planning
  • An ability to speak a community language/s
  • An ability to work flexibly during times of change and uncertainty
