What's the Job?

The Health Safety and Wellbeing Advisor will contribute to the success of the organisation by:

  • Playing a key role in assisting the organisation to effectively manage its health and safety obligations (legal obligations) annecto HSW policies and procedures and the annecto risk management strategy and program.
  • Providing professional advice, coaching and guidance on the management and best practice in HS&W management and systems, programs, policy and procedures.
  • Displaying leadership in the area of health, safety and wellbeing to assist in developing a positive and proactive risk aware culture across the organisation. This position also participates in cross-functional projects and team work.

What we need from you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety discipline
  • Substantial relevant experience in a similar position
  • Significant experience in Return to Work and WorkCover Claims Management.
  • Extensive Risk Management experience relative to the position.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implantation of HSW policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in OHS risk auditing
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to negotiate and influence RTW and claims management experience
  • Demonstrated experience administering an incident reporting database.
  • Strong technical OHS skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to the purpose and principals of annecto- the people network
  • High level written and verbal of communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide timely and accurate advice
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters of a complex nature
  • Demonstrated experience in working with people at all levels in a medium to large organisation with multiple sites
  • Excellent understanding of contractor management obligations
  • Satisfactory police check and a working with children check
  • Current Victorian car drivers license
