What’s the job?

The Rostering Officer role is a multi-dimensional role with a focus on both service delivery, growth and administration.  The role is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the roster in Alayacare Database for all participants and staff reporting through West VicKey portfolio areas include:


  • Coordination and ongoing monitoring of all rostering requirements for Support Workers within West Vic Region using the Alayacare software.
  • Coordination and ongoing monitoring of rostering for all program recipients within West Vic Region using Alayacare
  • Implementation of paper roster into Alayacare
  • Inputting of staffing teams within Alayacare
  • Verification and approvals of all shifts within Alayacare
  • Daily updating of absences for Support Workers and Participants within Alayacare
  • Data Entry

What are we looking for?
To be considered for this opportunity you should have:
> Prior experience in developing and maintaining staff rosters
> Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
> Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse group

A tertiary qualification in health and/or Social sciences (or in a similar environment) is preferred but not essential.

You should be eligible to work in Australia.

Selection Criteria Desirable: Do you have any knowledge of Alayacare Data Base or similar client Data Base?
Essential: Do you have demonstrated ability to work autonomously with a high degree of initiative
Essential: Do you have high attention to detail and ability to prioritise responsibilities with a systematic approach to handling tasks
Desirable: Do you have working knowledge of the NDIS
Desirable: Do you have knowledge of the community care sector?
Desirable: Do you have an understanding of Disability/Aging and its social, economic, health and cultural impact.
